Autonomous robotic system development project for hospital disinfection.
UAB “R and R technology”, a Lithuania-based company of mobile robotics solutions, received €341 566,82 from the European Regional Development Fund to develop the autonomous robotic system for hospital disinfection using highly efficient ionized hydrogen peroxide disinfection method. The project is part of the 2014-2020 European Union Investment Fund programme’s 1st priority „Scientific research, experimental development and innovation” No. 01.2.1-LVPA-T-858 „COVID-19 R&D”
The aim of the project is to create an autonomous robotic disinfection system for hospitals. This system will be able to carry out the disinfection process of both facilities and surfaces without human intervention. During the project, two disinfection robots and their control system will be developed. The system will use a high efficiency ionized hydrogen peroxide disinfection method.
